Trip To Te papa
On Monday, a group of us students from Rangikura School went on a noisy bus into Wellington to visit Te Papa for the afternoon. When we got there, we had morning tea first, and then we split up into smaller groups. I was with AJ, Ethan, Kupa and Caleb.
We met Laura who works in the Pacific Arts section, and she showed us some really cool things like a turtle shell, a coconut shell, a decorated tapa cloth, and a big clam shell from Pacific. We sat in a circle around a big map on the ground and talked about the different pacific countries like Samoa, Tonga, Cook Islands and Tokelau.
After that we were going to a room and we had to walk along way up the stairs.
then we sat down and we were talking about maori. And the things about the waka and it didn't have any nails in it. When we were going back to school I fell asleep in the bus when we arrived at school I
was so tired.

Pohutukawa EOTC Week
Eotc week
Last week it was EOTC week. We slept at school in the hall. One thing that challenged me was going to sleep when someone was snoring loudly!
We went to the pools and we were playing on a floating obstacle. The floating obstacle was so easy. Then a lifeguard got a hose and we had to go past it the water was really cold.
We went to te papa to see lots of things. But the main thing we learnt about at te papa was maori. The people in my group was orlonzo,Me,Zante, jahvarn, wahda and some other person that i don't know their name. one thing that i learnt at te papa was a guy named Te rauparaha had six toes and they said he was a taniwha.
After we went to te papa we went to Nga taonga sound and vision. And Learned that they used a tape to make a movie. They didn't have cameras. and the colour was black and white.
