Trip To Te papa
On Monday, a group of us students from Rangikura School went on a noisy bus into Wellington to visit Te Papa for the afternoon. When we got there, we had morning tea first, and then we split up into smaller groups. I was with AJ, Ethan, Kupa and Caleb.
We met Laura who works in the Pacific Arts section, and she showed us some really cool things like a turtle shell, a coconut shell, a decorated tapa cloth, and a big clam shell from Pacific. We sat in a circle around a big map on the ground and talked about the different pacific countries like Samoa, Tonga, Cook Islands and Tokelau.
After that we were going to a room and we had to walk along way up the stairs.
then we sat down and we were talking about maori. And the things about the waka and it didn't have any nails in it. When we were going back to school I fell asleep in the bus when we arrived at school I
was so tired.
